I love these books great reading.
This book is the tale of one widow and her story as she deals with her husbands death and her returning to life. Well written and easy to read with truth and joy throughout. Light, positive comment on the twists and turns of grief and renewal.
Wonderful book with all the realities you are experiencing in your path through widowhood. Delightfully funny in parts, to turn those tears and negative feelings into laughter. Really brought me out of my grief and sadness, if even for a short while. I will read this again and again.
I am a recent widow after 41 years of marriage. I have read several grief/widow books and this one was recommended by a grief counselor. I found myself in several of the stories and pictures. It gave me some laughs, tears and encouragement to get through this stage of life. I felt like someone really understood how I was feeling. A good read for anyone in our shoes.
Auchard is a marvelous storyteller. The humor and heartbreak in this memoir are well-balanced. I would be interested in reading more of her writing.
I read this book several years ago and purchased another copy as a gift. This product is a short read. Auchard simplifies and normalizes the process of a new life transition. The product arrived in great condition and shipped in record time.
